One of the most important things I've learned since leaving traditional employment and going out on my own is the art of showing up.
There are days and moments where you feel completely uninspired and unmotivated. For a productivity lover like me, those days can be difficult.
I've come to see the value in showing up anyway. Writing when I don't feel like writing. Producing output even when I don't feel it's good. Though I can't see the value of it immediately, it's silently compounding. I'm building a rhythm that helps me be productive on other days. I'm capturing ideas that I can enrich later, when I'm having a better day.
It's not about seeing instant gratification from every task completed, but instead about building on the previous day, week, or month, to reach up to something even bigger.
